The two defendants, in the company of ten other men - who, earlier in the day had been fined $1 each by the City Magistrate for Disorderly Conduct - arrived at the deponent's house and threatened bodily harm if he did not give them them money for said fines, along with an extra $15 for "refreshments they claimed were destroyed" on the day in which the initial charge was hinged. The deponent claimed to only have $9 which - after protestations and threats of "bodily harm" - the defendants took and left the apartment.
