"Deponent [Othelly] states that the locks on doors leafing to said vacant apartments were securely locked ... he saw the defendant [Tolliver] come out of the 2nd floor apartment witha hatchet in his hand; Deponent states the he later examined the said vacant apartments and discovered the locks on the door broken and the lead pipes underneath the sinks tampered with."
