Police officers found, at the apartment of the defendant [Taglione] "several writings, papers and documents representing and being records of chances, shares and interests in numbers sold, drawn and to be drawn in what is commonly called policy, and papers, prints, writings, numbers and devices, policy slips, and articles commonly used in carrying on, promoting and playing the game commonly called Policy."
