After an altercation relating to money owed to him - inside the barber shop where the deceased [Scott] worked - the defendant [Reynolds] called the deceased outside to fight. When Scott refused, the defendant left, returning soon afterwards with a "regulation bayonet." Having been told that the defendant had the weapon in his possession, the deceased went outside and accosted him. After "rushing" him - during which the defendant allegedly told him to "keep away" - Scott was "stabbed in the breast," and died shortly afterwards in Harlem Hospital.
