While on the corner of Park Ave and 133rd, the deponent [Police Officer Brady] witnessed the defendant [Cruse] talking to a woman[Rachel Waters], who then approached and "solicited him for prostitution." The deponent made arrangements with the defendant to meet Waters later in the evening. The defendant then suggested that the deponent buy him a drink, and the three went to a saloon on Madison and 133rd, where the deponent introduced the defendant to a friend of his [another police officer, Slattery], "who was also out for a good time." Upon arriving at the prearranged time, the defendant introduced Officer Slattery to two girls, and told him to take them into a Park Ave building - while he kept lookout, which he requested 25 cents for - where, after they offered to have sexual intercourse with him, Slattery placed them under arrest. He then went outside and arrested the defendant for "inducing, enticing, and procuring prostitution."
