The deponent was "enticed" into an apartment building by one of the defendants [Frank Jones], where he was "pounced upon" by the other [Herman Harold], who said "Come on, turn it loose, hand it over." Jones then turned out the electric lights and ran away, while the deponent "in fear turned away from [Harold] who with open knife in hand cut and slashed deponent across the face and ran away."
