Run by Mrs. Augusta M.B. Corbin, this is the sister charity house to the Soujourner Truth House at 170 W 130th. This home offers temporary accommodation to black girls over the age of 16 until something more permanent can be found. Predominately designed for unmarried mothers (the house has a separate, staffed nursery for babies), the guests of the house are usually recommended by social workers, probation officers, and hospitals.
