Home ground of Royal Giants, black baseball owned by Harlem nightclub owner John Connors. Grandstand built to hold 2600. Connors had a 5 year lease on the field, but struggles with white booking agent Nat Strong forced him to give up control of the team in 1913, by which time it was based in Brooklyn
