The Republican candidate for Mayor, Frank D. Waterman, spoke before the St. James Presbyterian Church Forum. Along with other speakers George E. Wibecan, David Costuma and Mrs Ida Slight, Waterman spoke on the 'Duties of Citizenship', although all speakers also addressed certain current political situations. 200 people were in attendance, and five male blind singers later performed two folk songs.
