Two armed bandits entered a grocery store and held up the owner and clerk whilst they took $26 in cash from the cash register. Two police officers (Patrolman Pesson of the W 100th street station and Acting Sargent Harriot, who was in civilian clothes) chased the bandits after the owner of the grocery store ran out screaming after their departure. The policemen and the bandits exchanged fire, and one bandit escaped in a taxi whilst the other, Ronald Stubbs, caught when he ran out of ammunition.
