John Ellison, acting with another unnamed man, approached Rupert Blackman whilst he was sitting in St. Nicholas Park. Blackman alledges that one of the men bet him $200 he did not have a thousand dollars in the bank. When Blackman drew the money out of the bank and returned to the two men to collect the $200, they secretly switched envelopes and Blackman was left with nothing.
