“About 1 AM visited above said place and found in there about 50 couples (colored and white), colored men and white women sitting at the same tables, changing seats by either sex and open soliciting by Broadway prostitutes was observed in here. About 2AM, place was so crowded and extra tables and chairs had to be placed in the centre, where dancing was going on before. Colored and white women and men under influence of liquor and didn't behaved [sic]. Wiggling, shimmying and other improper dances were performed inhere by white and colored women.Among the white women, I recognized every one and knew them well from Broadway, where they hustle every night in a week.Most of Broadway sports, who are picked up by prostitutes, or prostitutes escorted by their pimps come up here to spend the rest of the night as other places down town where dancing and cabaret is going on are closed after 1 AM According my observation, the colored patrons in here behaved better than the white and frankly said the white patrons were running wild in here (both men and women). Place supposed to be open all night Left premises at 2. 30 AM and went from here to Fordham Rd.”
