Brown frequented the store of Sarah Frank - that on two occasions after his visits she discovered that blank checks had been removed from her check book – on July 29 he attempted to cash a check in the amount of $80 bearing a signiture purporting to be that of the said Sarah frank at the Manufacturers Trust Company, 1400 5th Ave – whereupon he was arrested.
