Killed his wife Josephine Earris on Dec 26th 1919 - deceased was employed in apartment house where the shooting took place. Married two years to deft (45yrs) deft employed as superintendent. Married life had not been happy and they were living apart. Deft taken to Domestic Relations Court by wife. She accused him of beating her but the judge dismissed the case. Deft acting strangely on day of shooting. That he gave away his furniture and told friend that they would be hearing about him but may never see him again. He apparently received a call from his wife. When he got to her apts a colored man was waiting for him with a gun. A colored woman also in the hallway with his wife. She was also shot and killed.
