Raid led by William Smellie, of Victory Life Insurance Company; Mrs Ramsay summoned after raid. Mrs Smellie had sublet apartment without knowledge of landlord; she and Ramsay had met 8 years ago in Kansas City. Smellies married in 1925. Detectives watched Ramsay and Smellie for several months; they had just returned from New Haven and Long Branch, NJ at time of raid
