The deponent [Pravia] was in his Seventh Avenue candy store with his wife when the defendant [Taylor], in concert with five others not arrested, began to “throw stones and break his window and steal [18 packages of gum and merchandise valued at $200].” A police officer later arrested the defendant in possession of the stolen chewing gum.
