"Young people of the Methodist Episcopal Church of New York City and northern New Jersey have organized a conference to discuss the proposed plan for Methodist unification. The two-day conference will meet Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, at 3:30 p.m., at St. Mark's Methodist Episcopal Church,. 137th Street and Edgecombe Avenue. The plan, as proposed, calls for the unification of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, the Methodist Episcopal Church, and the Methodist Protestant Church into a single denominational body to be called "The Methodist Church"... The plan already has fomented much comment. The principal attacks upon it have been on grounds of seeming racial discrimination."
