"The annual Educational Conference at the 135th Street Branch YMCA on August 8 brought together a large group of students and educators to hear an address on adult education by Dr. Irving Lorge, associate professor of psychology at Columbia University... Music for the education was furnished by the Negro Melody Singers under direction of Miss Juanita Hall. They sang a group of classical and spiritual songs."
