After inducing the deponent [Noonan] to come to premises 1575 Lexington Avenue with him, the defendant [Rye]

After inducing the deponent [Noonan] to come to premises 1575 Lexington Avenue with him, the defendant [Rye] “took violent hold of [her] and placed her against the wall.” After she resisted, the defendant “did strke her a violent blow on the left side of the face,” before forcibly undressing and raping her. An elevator operator in said building, overhearing the defendant threatening the deponent during this act, “went to her assistance and subsequently caused the arrest of Rye.”
