After leaving the store-room of his grocery store locked for the evening, the deponent [Lang] returned the following morning to find that a hole had been cut in the wall, and a case of eggs stolen. Some hours earlier, a police officer had found the defendant [Fox] in the cellar of a neighboring building, in possession of said crate of eggs.
