"Leaving a will and a cryptic note in which she scribbled that "Life is no longer endurable," Miss Vivian Davies, an ailing resident of 208 West 151st Street, committed suicide Wednesday afternoon by inhaling gas. She was found by Leo Jeffries... sitting on a chair in the kitchenette of her one-room apartment, the upper half of her body slammed against a table. Two gas jets had been turned on."
