"The Unique Debutantes sponsored a pre-summer dansante at the Renaissance Ballroom, 138th street and Seventh avenue, last Tuesday evening. Vernon Andrade and his Society Orchestra furnished the music for the dancing on that occasion. During the intermission, Clement Norman, the group's advocate, introduced the officers. The featured entertainment was clever dancing by Alice Garrett's Sunshine Kiddies"
