On Monday 1 July students of the Thomas Music Studio delighted their audience of family and friends with the School's annual recital. Jonathan Brice, pianist, was the guest artist for the recital whose performance of "Malaguena" by Lecuana and "The Elephant's Lullaby" by Debussy, were well received. The program also featured the talents of The Rhythm Band, Margaret Gibbes, Steven Alsberry, Dorothy Griffin, Marjorie Johnson, Mildred Phillips, Edmund Watt, Thomas Minter, Joyce Phillips, Veta Weir, and Gertrude Dawson. Students Joyce Phillips, Margaret Gibbes, and Gertrude Dawson were presented with awards at the event for their outstanding work throughout the previous academic year.
