The Medical Committee for the Defense of Ethiopia Hosts Benefit

"The Medical Committee for the Defense of Ethiopia will sponsor a dance at the Savoy Ballroom on October 23 to raise funds to secure more medical supplies for the besieged African empire. The committee will also explain its plans to its assembled guests that evening and make an appeal for more supplies... The committee is composed of a number of prominent doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses and professional persons. Yesterday the group issued an appeal to all Harlemites to contribute old sheets, pillowcases and all forms of old linen, which will be sterilized and made into bandages. The articles should be sent to the Medical Committee for the Defense of Ethiopia at 110 West 116th Street."
