The Lido Ballroom Hosts "Pigskin Prom" in Honor of the Brown Bombers

"On the night of December 1, the University Club will give its "Pigskin Prom" at the beautiful and spacious Lido Ballroom in honor of Harlem's latest contribution to the sports world, the Brown Bombers. As yet no one has paid homage to these stalwart sons of the turf and it is expected that a record crowd will turn out to honor them... There is a possibility that there will be the unveiling of a statue of the original Brown Bomber, Joe Louis, which was done by the owner of the Lido, Art. C. Harris."
