"More than four hundred persons packed the cozy Club Dancehell on 125th Street, Friday night, November 29th, supporting the first Annual Scholarship Fund Dance given by the Saint Paul's League of Greater New York... This dance, which will be an annual affair, served a twofold purpose. Besides being a means of financing a scholarship recently established in memory of the late Archdeacon James S. Russell... [and] it afforded an opportunity for the local graduates and ex-students of the school to renew acquaintances."
