“Deponent [Smith] states that on May 23rd, 1935, she went to live with the defendant [Giamellie] at 79 West 124th Street, where she remained until May 31st, 1935.” During her stay, the defendant “did bring men to deponent for the purpose of prostitution.” She “did turn over to the defendant all … money that she earned from said acts of prostitution and … [the] defendant in turn would pay deponent different sums of money.”
