While carrying a box [containing two pairs of trousers] into the hallway of his West 146th Street residence, the deponent’s son [James Durgan, aged 7] was approached by an unidentified minor, who asked him directions before snatching the box from his hands. The defendant [Simmons, aged 16] “held the door of the hallway open so that the minor could run out.”
