"Undaunted by oppressive heat, pickets of the Consolidated Tenants League continued yesterday their seventh week of pacing up and down in front of Kinghaven, the apartment house at 445 West 153rd Street, protesting the boosted rentals demanded by the John P. Peel Realty Company, owners of the house recently opened to Negroes... Save for... six families and the three white families that have not yet moved out, the fifty-eight apartment house remains vacant."
