"Members of the Baptist Temple Church, 269 Lenox avenue, were the recipients of an unexpected gift last Sunday morning in the form of a $300 receipt which the pastor, the Rev. J. I. Mumford, presented for his unpaid back salary. The presentation was made to S G Dabney, chairman, board of deacons, at the services Sunday morning, and was received by the congregation with expressions of appreciation and affection for the pastor"
