While in the hallway of 310 East 112th Street, the deponent [Opdencamp] was approached by the defendant [Canzone] and two others not arrested – one of whom said “Where is your money fellow, give it to us or it will get bad with you.” The other man then searched deponent’s clothing, from which he extracted $8 cash. The two men then left, while the defendant remained – telling the deponent to “Stay in the hall or I’ll give it to you.” When the deponent replied that he didn’t think he had a gun, the deponent “backed out of said hallway and ran.” The deponent pursued him to East 113th Street and First Avenue, where he “slipped out of [his] coat… and got away, leaving said coat in deponent’s hands.”
