"Threats of a wholesale desertion of Tammany on the part of the voters of the 19th Assembly District unless Ferdinand Q. Morton, recently elected leader of the district at a meeting of the Democratic District County Committee... were uttered last week during a meeting of the several district organizations of the district. The members of the club also unanimously adopted a resolution at the meeting, which took place on Wednesday October 2 at the club's headquarters, 204 Lenox Avenue, expressing resentment if the voters over the attempt at the county committee meeting by Martin J. Healy, incumbent leader of the district, and Harry C. Perry, one of the candidates for leadership in the recent primaries, to divide up the district between themselves."
