"Meeting for the first time in several months last Monday night at the West 135th Street Branch Y.M.C.A., the Citizens League for Fairplay, after some consideration, has announced the opening of a campaign to increase employment of Negroes in 125th Street stores. Representatives of about 25 organizations attended the meeting, which was called after a number of complaints were reported to have been received that merchants on that thoroughfare were again inflicting discrimination against local Negroes."
