"The Marvello School of Beauty Culture, of which Mrs Laura S. Gibbs is principal, held graduation exercises on Sunday evening at 166 West 136th street, at which time William K. Maloney was master of ceremonies. The graduates were addressed and given their diplomas by Mrs Sara Pelham Speaks... At the exercises solos were sung by Misses Sadie Enever and Massie Patterson, and Miss Wood gave a dramatic reading"
