"We doff our hat to the boys of Manhattan Lodge No. 45. Their reception Thursday night at Rockland Palace was the biggest of all this season, 3,700 turning out that night. The large crowd, composed 99 per cent of men and women belonging to Elkdom, was a tribute to the good-fellowship of Manhattan Lodge and its exalted ruler, Edward W. Simons."
