Man Shot Dead at 120th Street and Madison Avenue

"Working on the theory that a policy war may be brewing, police on Tuesday were engaged in a citywide manhunt for a gunman who at noon shot and killed an unidentified white man at 120th Street and Madison Avenue. The assailant escaped in a waiting car after pumping five bullets into the unsuspecting victim... Several policy slips were found on the man's possession as well as paen tickets, but nothing was found to establish his identity. In appearance, the man might either be white or Spanish and was about 35 years old."
