"One of the most enjoyable programs of the season was given by Jester Hairston on Sunday afternoon at the regular meeting of the Chauncey Northern D. S. Club at the Northern Vocal Art Studio, 107 West 117th Street. Mr. Hairston interpreted six of his original readings in such a manner as to provoke hilarious laughter and left the large group of members and friends applauding vociferously for me."
