After leaving her rooming house residence for the day, the deponent returned to find “the catch on the door leading from the living room to her room interfered with,” and a camera and wrist watch stolen from therein. The defendant, who lived in the same rooming house but did not have access to her room, later admitted to having entered the room and stolen said possessions, which he pawned at a pawnshop on West 145th Street and Eight Avenue.
