The deponent [May] was “enticed into [the] hallway,” of a West 144th Street building, “on the pretext that he could get a good time with some girls.” Once inside, the defendant [Stewart] “whistled and 4 other men came into the hallway.” After making a gesture “as though he had a revolver in his coat pocket,” the defendant ordered deponent upstairs, where he was forced into a room and robbed of his overcoat, muffler, gloves, and $2 cash.
