"Injuries resulting in the complete amputation of his right foot and a compound fracture of the left leg were received by Ernest Davenport, 38, of 106 West 113th Street, Sunday night. While he was sitting on the center crosswalk on Seventh Avenue at 140th Street, Davenport was struck by an automobile."
