The defendant [Morales] broke into the deponent’s [Scott's] apartment by forcibly opening the front door of said premises, where he stole a suit of clothes, a pair of shoes, and a watch. When questioned, the defendant stated that he “threw the property into the furnace and that a jimmy found in deponent’s apartment did belong to him.”
