"For the past seven years a unique celebration has been held at Public School 119, Manhattan, in honor of the teachers of the school. One day during the school term, the children have charge of the program in the school auditorium at which expressions of of appreciations of the work and interests of teachers are made. The eighth celebration was held this year on Monday afternoon of this week and the program included greetings for a representative of each class, singing and addresses by Miss Anna E. Lawson, principal and Fred R. Moore, chairman of the Parents Association, and editor of the New York Age. Miss Lawson expressed the hope that this movement would spread to other schools throughout Harlem and eventually throughout the city"
