While he was leaving 2440 Eighth Avenue, the deponent [Johnson] was approached in the hallway by the defendant [Rawlins] and four other unidentified men, who “prevent[ed] him from leaving.” The defendant the “forcibly place[d] his hands into deponent's trouser pocket,” from which he stole $20, before fleeing.
