"One of the prettiest parties of the week was given by Dr and Mrs Joel V. Bolden, 409 Edgecombe avenue, in honor of Mrs Bolden's cousin Miss Lola Dugas of Charlotte, N.C.; her brother, Edward A Beauhtan, Dr Gorham H. Fletcher and Maurice E. Coates, all of Washington... Those who appeared on the delightful musical program during the evening were Miss Ruby Greene, a student at the Julliard School of the Institute of Musical Art, and Dr A. Hudson Healy, vocal solos; and Miss Perdita Duncan, piano selection. Delicious cocktails and dainty sandwiches were served during the evening"
