"Mrs. Hubert Harrison, the widow of the prominent Harlemite for which the Hubert Harrison Memorial Church, 149 West 136th street, was named, was present Tuesday evening when friends and supporters tendered a testimonial dinner to the Rev. Ethelred Brown, pastor of the church. The dinner, given at Les Merles, 205 West 135th street, was a testimonial to Dr. Brown's service and a climax of the fifteenth anniversary celebration of the church. W.O, Domingo served as master of ceremonies at the dinner which was sponsored by a committee, of which Hodge Kirnon was chairman and Mrs. Juanita Gallwey secretary."
