"A debate was held by the Yoruba Literary and Debating Club at St Mark's Church, on Sunday, on the subject, 'Resolved: That medicine should be socialized by the state.' The Yoruba Club was represented by Messrs. Nurse and Smalls and the Student Literary Association by Messrs. Joseph and McNaught. The debate ended in a tie as no decision could be reached"
