"The Consolidated Tenants League, militant Harlem housing organization, yesterday began picketing "Kinghaven," a large all-white apartment house at 153d street and St Nicholas avenue, which is now seeking an all-Negro clientele. The picket action was announced by the League Monday after The Amsterdam News had investigated reports that prospective Negro tenants are to be charged much higher rents than their white predecessors"
