"A pretty Colonial wedding was featured on last Saturday afternoon, when Miss Clarence Williams, daughter of Mr and Mrs Clarence Williams... became the bride of Thomas E. Elliott promptly at 4 o'clock at St James' Presbyterian Church. The bridal party, when assembled at the church's alter, made a sight so picturesque that momentarily the wedding guests forgot the down pour of rain that tapped a rhythmic beat on the building's roof. For the occasion the church was decorated with ferns, daisies and white satin ribbon... Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held for the newlyweds at the Witoka Club, 222 West 145th street, until 8 o'clock"
