Bessie Jantys and John Wade allegedly rob Joseph Donato

Defendant Jantys was witnessed walking down the stairs of an apartment building at 4 East 114th Street carrying a pair of shoes, a hat, and a Home Relief Book – all of which were subsequently identified as belonging to one Joseph Donato, a resident of the building who was found dead on the second floor landing a short time later. Defendant Wade was also witnessed at the scene of the crime.
