The deponent [Grossman], while in the hallway of a West 143th Street premises, was “jumped upon from behind,” by the defendant [Henderson] and two other unidentified men, who “engaged deponent in a fight during which the wallet and contents [$8] were taken from his person.” The defendant fled with the deponent's briefcase, but was “captured” by the deponent after a “chase.”
